Yoga for Horse Lovers
Our communication with horses is primarily nonverbal "body language" which includes expressions of our body, breath and mind. Tension, improper posture, excessive effort and gripping, mental anxiety and fear are some challenges that can interfere with our communication with (and union with) our horse.
Yoga can help develop mindfulness when riding as it is a valuable form of mental and physical exercise for riders. If the rider is balanced, calm and confident, so is the horse. If the rider is flexible in body and mind, they will be able to send correct messages to the horse and improve communication between horse and rider.
Benefits of Yoga For Horse Lovers
Improves rider flexibility, focus, balance, coordination, strength and breathing
Helps to develop a relaxed alignment by removing stiffness in the rider's body
Deepens horse and rider relationship, by reducing physical and mental limitations in rider communication
Exercises will be done both riding and walking with the horse.
